Director’s Awards recognize student achievement
Close to seven hundred elementary students will visit the Catholic Education Centre over the next few weeks to receive a Director’s Award of Excellence. A dozen students from each of the board’s elementary schools will be recognized for outstanding academic achievement.
The Director’s Awards were created many years ago as an opportunity to recognize and honour the outstanding achievements of students in a number of different categories and subject areas. The awards, given on an annual basis, recognize excellence in the areas of academics, faith, and community involvement. Students and their families have been invited to visit the central administration office for an official awards ceremony with Director of Education David Hansen, followed by refreshments and a tour of the Father Kyran Kennedy Catholic Education Centre.
The following schools will recognized on Monday, April 24, 2017:
St. John the Baptist, St. Thérèse of Lisieux, Our Lady of Mount Carmel
St. Ann (Hamilton), Our Lady of the Assumption, St. Augustine
