Nominations are now open for the 2017-2018 Premier’s Awards for Accepting Schools. The award is presented annually to school teams across the province that have done exceptional and innovative work in creating a safe, inclusive and accepting school environment. The award recognizes schools that have demonstrated initiative, creativity and leadership in promoting a safe, inclusive and accepting school climate.
Take this opportunity to celebrate all the great work taking place at your school. Anyone can nominate a team for a Premier’s Awards for Accepting Schools, including a teacher, custodian, parent, Catholic School Council, or student. Simply complete the online nomination form at http://www.edu.gov.on.ca/eng/safeschools/a ...
In addition to safe and accepting school initiatives, teams can include other components of “well-being” in their nomination form, such as mental health supports and healthy school programs.
Please note that nominations cannot be submitted by a school team member or a team member’s relative. Every team should include the principal, at least one student, parent, teacher, non-teaching staff member and community partner.
